Why homes are switching to infrared panels
Old electric heating is expensive because it heats air you then lose. Infrared heats people and surfaces directly.

Questions
Infrared panels, answered
Something else? or call 0141 473 2886.
How much do infrared heating panels cost?
Panels start from £399 each, fitted. The total depends on how many rooms you heat and which panel styles you choose. Use the room planner above for a rough guide, then get a fixed quote.
How many panels do I need per room?
As a guide, a 350 W panel covers up to about 8 m², a 500 W panel up to 14 m² and a 700 W panel up to 20 m², based on the manufacturer’s figures. Larger or poorly insulated rooms may need more, which we check at survey.
Are infrared panels expensive to run?
You heat only the rooms you are using, and warmth is felt quickly, so many homes use less energy than with storage heaters or electric radiators. Pairing panels with a home battery lets you run them on cheaper stored power.
Can infrared panels replace storage heaters?
Yes. It is one of the most common swaps we do, especially in flats and homes without gas. Each room gets its own control instead of guessing the night before.
Where do the panels go?
On the wall or the ceiling. Ceiling panels are out of the way and heat the whole room evenly. Wall panels come in glass, steel, ceramic and mirror finishes, including custom printed designs.
Can I control them from my phone?
Yes. Wi-Fi models work with the Tomorrow Energy Smart app, with schedules, timers, open-window detection and child lock.
Are they suitable for bathrooms?
Yes. We fit a 750 W towel rail panel and a 400 W heated anti-fog mirror designed for bathrooms.
Is infrared heating safe?
Yes. Panels give off the same kind of gentle radiant warmth you feel from the sun, with no UV. See how infrared works.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are fitted in a day by our own Glasgow team. There is no pipework, so there is little disruption.
Do you cover my area?
We install across mainland Scotland from our Glasgow base. See the areas we cover.
